Community Youth Initiatives
The Barry F. Lorenzetti Foundation is proud to support a number of organizations who help underprivileged youth find purpose through sports, all while achieving academic excellence. Participation in sports programs help our youth develop confidence, understand the importance of community, and learn the importance of working together as a team, all of which forms the basis for our youth to become strong leaders and good future corporate citizens. In 2025,
the Barry F. Lorenzetti Foundation financially assisted the following organizations:

Goal Initiatives Foundation (GOAL)
The GOAL Initiatives Foundation uses soccer to bring kids together and promote positive mental health. GOAL helped upgrade community fields, run free soccer clinics, and organize youth tournaments. Every program is built on inclusion—kids of all backgrounds play side by side, with an emphasis on fun, confidence and connection.

Montreal Community Cares Foundation (MCCF)
The Montreal Community Cares Foundation’s Red Rush Academy focuses on basketball. Their full-year program blends athletics with academic support and leadership training. Kids get coaching, tutoring, and mentors who strongly encourage them to stay focused and finish school. MCCF also runs workshops, summer camps, and an annual Honour Roll Breakfast to recognize student success.

Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund
In 2020, the Hockey Canada Foundation introduced the Assist Fund to help families facing financial challenges. To date, over $3 million has been distributed. In the 2024/2025 season, the Hockey Canada Foundation, through the Assist Fund, provided more than 1,800 kids with registration fee funding, of which more than 1,250 of these young players were from the Black, Indigenous and racialized communities.
